1. The Challenge
Cairns Hardware’s Portsmith warehouse is a major distribution hub operating seven days a week. The existing roof had reached the end of its service life, showing corrosion, leaks, and poor heat performance. Any extended downtime would have disrupted logistics and supply operations across multiple FNQ sites.
Our team needed to replace the roof in full while maintaining site access, managing industrial safety standards, and working around unpredictable tropical weather—all without interfering with ongoing warehouse activity.

We developed a staged reroofing plan to keep the warehouse operational from start to finish.
